Cannabis use amongst Australian cancer patients - registration

Cancer Council SA is conducting a study is to assess the current cannabis-related attitudes, beliefs, behaviours and practices in cancer patients throughout Australia. The information obtained during this study will help to inform a larger examination of cancer-related cannabis use in Australia and inform the framework of information, policy and services related to medicinal cannabis use that we deliver at Cancer Council SA.

Participation in the study will involve completing a telephone interview with a trained researcher. The interview will cover a number of topics related to your cancer and cannabis use including; basic demographics, your cancer background, how you access and use cannabis (both legally and illegally), as well as your attitudes, beliefs and motivation for using cannabis.

You are eligible to participate in this study if:

  • you are a current or former cancer patient;
  • aged 18 years or older;
  • who has used any form of cannabis during their cancer treatment;
  • and are willing to participate in a recorded telephone interview*

*The interview is recorded for analysis purposes only
